Mold Services

Mould or mold, no matter how you spell it – it can spell trouble. If you know or even suspect that mold may be present in your home, our certified technicians can help with identification, removal and prevention.

Mold Remediation

We offer professional mold remediation (removal) services for crawlspaces, attics, and the interior of your home. We don’t just cover it up or fog it – we remove it. Our technicians will help you determine the cause and assist you with the repairs and upgrades needed to prevent it from returning.

Inspections & Assessments

You may not always see the mold in your home, instead, you may notice a musty or dank odour in a specific room. Our technicians have years of experience and training in mold recognition and assessment and use the most up-to-date tools. When we conduct a home assessment, if there is mold – you can be assured we will find it avoiding expensive air quality testing.

Air Quality Testing

We can conduct air quality testing for homeowners, pre- and post-remediation, as well as sampling and analysis for home buyers. In this process, air samples are taken from any rooms/areas of concern and compared with an outdoor sample. After analysis you are provided with a written report of spore counts.

Ventilation Services

Removing mold is just the first step. Our ‘SOULution techs’ will help you identify the cause and prevent it from happening again – keeping your home healthy. The number one cause of mold growth is lack of ventilation or incorrect ventilation. Low insulation also contributes to mould growth in your attic and your home. Once we remove the mold, we’ll repair and update the ventilation issues and bring your insulation level up to code. Proper ventilation, airflow and insulation makes it hard for condensation to settle and mold to grow.

Correct Fan Exhaust Connection in attic

Fan Exhaust Connection Upgrades

A common cause of attic mold is incorrect bath fan exhaust connections. They often leak moist air into your attic which creates the perfect environment for mold. Our experienced technicians will bring your fan ducting up to code to avoid future problems.

Roof Vent

Fan Roof Stem Vents

To avoid mold growth in your attic it is important that your fan exhaust connections are venting directly out the roof through a correctly installed stem vent. If they are not, the Home SOULutions techs will let you know. We can upgrade these exhausts so your system is working seamlessly.

Bathroom Fan

Bathroom Fan Installs

New bathroom fans circulate more air and are quieter than older fans. Our technicians install high airflow, quiet and energy-efficient fans. The more airflow in your home, the less chance mold spores will grow. The quieter the fan, the more often your family will turn it on. Let us help you improve the air quality in your home today.

Attic & Crawlspace Services

Whether you’ve had an infestation or it’s just time for a clean out of your attic or crawlspace. We have the equipment and skills needed to safely remove all kinds of insulation, debris, dust, and droppings. Our technicians will leave your attic disinfected and smelling wonderful again.

Insulation Removal

Rats, raccoons — even otters — we have seen it all! While these furry little critters may look cute, they can cause a lot of damage and odour in your insulation. Is it time for a clean-out? Let us do the dirty work for you. We will also identify and block critter access points.

Cleaning

All of our attic or crawlspace insulation removal and cleaning jobs are finished up with a thorough hepa-vacuum, and a disinfectant deodorizing treatment. Your attic or crawlspace will be clean and smell wonderful again.

Insulation Installation

Insulation Installs

Whether you need your crawlspace insulated with batting, need your attic “topped up” to bring it up to code, or need your entire attic reinsulated after a cleanout – we can help. Ask us for information on insulation grants.
